Welcome to the Distributed and Mobile
Computing Systems Lab (DMCS Lab), located in Room 208 within the
Laboratory for Advanced Networking
at the University of Kentucky (UK). This lab is part of the
UK Department of Computer Science
and was established with funding from the UK Department of Computer
Science and the National Science
Foundation.
This lab provides the necessary software and hardware support for the research work carried out by its members, as well as office space for its graduate student members. Our research interests lie primarily in the areas of distributed and mobile computing systems. More specifically, we are interested in fault-tolerance and synchronization in distributed and mobile computing systems, mobile agents, channel allocation in cellular networks, routing in mobile ad hoc and sensor networks, wireless personal area networks, and wormhole networks.
